Parker Elementary School Gymnasium included the construction of a new gymnasium, tie-in to the existing school, and bus canopy for drop off and pick up. The site was occupied and the existing, detached gymnasium remained in-use during the construction. The tie-in of the school and utilities had to be done after hours to not disrupt the school day. The gymnasium included gym, performance stage, athletic offices, restrooms, and lobby area. The district commissioned a local artist to paint murals in the gym and lobby area. Due to it’s proximity to the Gulf, the building was constructed to the highest of windstorm requirements.
