The Katy Mills Mall project was a complete overhaul of the exterior. All eight mall entrances were made over. The old large metal structures at each entrance were torn out and new paint and large entrance numbers brought the mall in to the modern age.
Missouri City Gymnasium Rehab
The recently remodeled Fort Bend County Missouri City Gym is an 85 year old Historic School Building that has been turned into a Community Center. The bleachers were removed making way for 2 new mezzanines, one for a seating section and the other as a workout area with treadmills, stair climbers, elliptical, and weight machines. The selective demolition of this project involved removing existing bleachers, removing sections of slabs for new plumbing & electrical underground, and removal of interior and exterior walls to incorporate the addition wing of the building and to accommodate the new interior layout of the building. The character of the building was kept alive by freshening up the existing brick and block walls with a fresh coat of paint, and sanding down the ½” thick layers of varnish and bringing out the classic look of the original gym floor.
